Introduction to Computational Physics.
In the Spring and Fall of 1997 I taught
PHYS 25:
General Physics II.
In the fall of 1994, 95, 96, 98 I taught
PHYS 61:
Introduction to Computational Physics.
Other courses I taught include PHYS 159, PHYS 271, and PHYS 272.
RESEARCH
A major part of my current research is on physical
properties
of fullerene molecular solids such as
and
Carbon Nanotubes.
These are a family of new materials
exhibiting novel properties such as
superconductivity, metal-insulator transition,
giant magnetoresistance. Nanotubes are stiffer and tougher
than diamond and can be used to build
Sky-Elevataor.
Our research concentrate
on relation between structure and properties.
