Ph.D. M.I.T., 1976
Dr. Dolan's research interests are in the theory of elementary particle physics. This involves non-perturbative approximations in quantum field theory in analyzing quark confinement, unified gauge field theories, particularly within the superstring description of four-dimensional phenomenology; applications of finite temperature field theory and superstring theory to the particle physics-cosmology interface; and developing a deeper understanding of solutions of string theory of M-theory and supergravity.
