Physics 174: 30 April Grade Report
The grades below are calculated differently than in the past.
- The lowest three quizzes have been dropped.
- The lowest three exercises have been dropped.
- The exams have been normalized to T Scores, so that all have
means of 35.0 (out of 50) and standard deviations of 7.0 (out of
50). In addition, the lowest T Score has been dropped, and the
remaining T Scores used to compute the exam portion of each
student's grade.
As before, the letter grades are only approximate. If your grade
is near a boundary between two letter grades, this really means that
the final letter grade in the course will depend on how you do on the
final, which is 30% of the grade.
