An atlas of fully processed spectra from the SWS - AOT1

This table includes entries for all 1239 full-scan AOT1 spectra from the Short Wavelength Spectrometer (SWS) on ISO, processed as explained by Sloan et al. (2003). It is based on Table 6 from Kraemer et al. (2002), with additional columns added to facilitate the access of data. The additions are the normalization type, defined by Sloan et al. 2003 in their appendices, and the scanning speed of the spectrometer (1 is slowest, 4 is fastest). The data are available in either ASCII or FITS format. In both cases, one can download either a “pws” file, which presents the data prior to segment-to-segment normalization, with discontinuities and overlaps, or a “sws” file, which is the final version, corrected for discontinuities and with overlaps removed. The “log” file, available only in ASCII format, provides details of how the swsmake procedures generated the data files.

To read the ASCII data, one should download the IDL procedure swsread.pro from the software page. The standard ASCII format of the “pws” and “sws” files is two header lines of 12 integers each, followed by data in four-column format (wavelength in µm, flux in Jy, statistical uncertainty in flux in Jy, and finally a flux uncertainty that includes the uncertainty in normalization.

The FITS data are in simple FITS format (not FITS table format), with header information taken from the original ISO data files and spectral data stored as a 4-column image. Columns are defined as in the ASCII files.
