Spectral FITS format:

The spectral FITS format ordinarily can be read directly into a SMART session, since SMART recognizes the spectral FITS format and automatically converts it to a YAAAR-compatible structure. At the moment, however, this is not working, so use YAAAR FITS files to read into SMART. Spectral FITS files can also be read into an IDL session using the readfits command.

The first column (col. 0) is wavelength, the second is flux (Jy), the third is uncertainty (Jy), the fourth identifies the spectral segment (module and order).
