Analysis of startup, shutdown and middle sequences, Campaign 33 Abstract: In Campaign 33, SL, LL, and LH exceeded the SUR read-noise limit in at least half of the tests (6, 9, and 8 out of 12 tests, respectively), while SH passed all tests. The behavior of LL and LH continue the general trend of slight degradation from one campaign to the next. All other tests gave normal results. For SUR data, the quoted values are the standard deviation of the read noise map. For SRS data, these are the median of the standard deviation map. Comments: As in previous campaigns, the SRS values are all within the limits. The SUR results are significantly worse. While SH passes all tests, the other three modules fail repeatedly. SL exceeded its limit in 6 of 12 cases (all post-anneal), with one result as bad as 10.6 DN. LL exceeded its limit 9 of 12 times, with a maximum read noise of 17.1 DN, and LH failed 8 of 12 times, with a maximum of 13.3 DN. In the SUR tests, all modules look stable, except for LL. Even though the results in the table above look good, replacing the 002b-pre sequence with other mid-campaign anneal sequences produces results which vary by up to 20%. Similarly, one of the LH sequences is 20% different than the others. See IRS_001/rn.ps for a direct view. In addition, both PU fields show a darker diagonal stripe. In the 002b/001 comparison, the SL orders are visible as well, with latent PAH spectra, and there are latencies in the PU fields which differ from the other comparisons. As in most previous campaigns, the orders are visible in all LL comparisons. The LH orders are also visible in the first comparison, with a few latent emission lines, but were not visible in the other comparisons.
