Analysis of startup, shutdown and middle sequences, Campaign 27 Abstract: The anneal results from Campaign 27 are much like recent campaigns, with SL straddling the SURN limit, LL occasionally straying above its limit, and the other two modules behaving well in the SURN tests. LH continues to behave well below its now out-dated SURN limit. The noise stability tests show better stability than in previous campaigns. The photoresponsivity tests continue to be limited in value by background fluctuations. Ignoring these effects, only LL and LH show any pixels which have exceeded the red limit. For SUR data, the quoted values are the standard deviation of the read noise map. For SRS data, these are the median of the standard deviation map. Comments: The SRS data are all within the limits, as usual. The SUR data of SH and LH continue to be good, with no case exceeding the limit. The median for SH is 7.2 DN (limit is 8.8 DN). For SL the median is 11.8 DN (limit is 17.6 DN). SL has five cases over the limit (out of 10), and one case just at the limit. All of the post-anneal SURN SL results are at or over the limit. The pre-anneal sequences are a little bit better, with one case at the shutdown over the limit. LL has only one case over the limit: the post-anneal sequence of the first middle sequence. The median of LL is 14.0 DN, close to the limit 14.5 DN. The LL orders are still clearly seen, as in previous campaigns, causing thousands of pixels to exceed the yellow limit. In SL, the PU array are clearly seen in all comparisons. In addition, in the 002b/001 comparison, there are two strips of bright latent images of spectra in SL2 and SL3 order. LH is generally good, except for the usual few bad pixels. Pixels exceeding the red limit are listed below (with positions in parenthtesis and number of failures in brackets). LL: (52, 4) [3], (85, 107) [1], (118, 73) [3], (87, 99) [1], (47, 105) [2], ( 4, 108) [1], (80, 115) [1] LH: ( 8, 84) [1], (84, 114) [3], (69, 104) [1]
