Analysis of startup, shutdown and middle sequences, Campaign 22 Abstract: The results for Campaign 22 are much as in previous campaigns, with all SRSRN results within limits and the SURN results for SL failing some of the time (with results as high as 9.3 DN in one case), LH failing all of the time (18.3-20.5 DN), and LL failing once (16.6 DN). In the first comparison of noise stability, SL and LL both showed unusually high variations (11% and 22% respectively). The photoresponse stability results are marred by numerous latent images in the SL peak-up fields, and an unusually high number of pixels exceeded the limits in both LL and LH (9 and 8, respectively; see the comments section below for a list of the failing pixels), Analysts: Lei Hao & Greg Sloan Procedure version: 2.7 Campaign 17, Startup, shutdown and middle anneal YEAR 2005 DOY 180 CE1 used for all data collection AORKEY = 15313152 for startup AORKEY = 15311872 for the first mid-campaign anneal sequence AORKEY = 15312384 for the second mid-campaign anneal sequence AORKEY = 15312640 for the third mid-campaign anneal sequence AORKEY = 15312896 for shutdown Number of files = 64 for each No known errors. For SUR data, the quoted values are the standard deviation of the read noise map. For SRS data, these are the median of the standard deviation map. Comments: The SRSRN results are all within the limits. The SURN results are as before, with SL failing four of ten times, with values as high as 9.3 DN. SH was within the SURN limit in all cases, and LL failed significantly only once with a 16.6 DN result. LH continues to be over its limit in all cases. In this campaign, SURN values ranged between 18.3 and 20.5 DN. Eight of the ten LH values were in a tighter range: 19.0-19.9 DN. Changes in read noise between anneals and from startup to shutdown (using the second mid-campaign seqeunce, which we have called IRS-002b): SUR data SRS data 002b-pre/ 003-pre/ 003-pre/ 002b-pre/ 003-pre/ 003-pre/ Module 001-post 002b-post 001-post 001-post 002b-post 001-post SL 0.89 0.96 0.95 1.00 1.01 1.02 SH 0.95 1.03 1.06 1.01 1.00 1.01 LL 1.22 0.97 0.92 1.00 1.01 1.00 LH 1.01 1.06 1.04 0.99 1.00 0.99 Comments: The SRSN results continue to be stable, with only one result reaching 2%. The SURN results are stable in most cases, except that in the 002b/001 comparison, LL varied by 22% and SL by 11%. All remaining variations were within 6%. In the 002b/001 comparison, two bright latent images affect the blue PU field. In the 003/002b and 003/001 comparisons, SL gets even worse, with two bright latencies in the red PU field joining the two latencies in the blue PU field. The LL orders are clearly seen in all comparisons as before. The LH orders are also present, but they are generally weak. Pixels exceeding the red limit in LL and LH are: LL: (52,4) [3], (76,13) [3], (87,99) [3], (64,27) [2], (76,64) [2], (4,108) [2], (16,12) [1], (118,73) [1], (23,119) [1] LH: (120,41) [3], (15,74) [3], (84,114) [3], (67,66) [2], (62,65) [1], (35,63) [1], (2,59) [1], (109,110) [1] The values in square brackets give the number of times a pixel failed.
