Analysis of startup, shutdown and middle sequences, Campaign 21a Abstract: Campaign 21 was divided into three parts with brief interludes while other instruments were powered on. We have treated this three segments as separate campaigns. The results For for the first portion of the campaign are similar to previous campaigns, with good results for the SRSRN tests and typical results for the SURN tests. SL failed in five of ten cases (maximum noise 10.4 DN), SH passes in all cases, LL failed only once (14.9 DN), and LH failed every time, with results from 18.4 to 21.9 DN. The read noise stability tests were slightly better than usual, with LL exceeding the 10% limit only once. The photoresponse results for SL were affected by latent PU images in one comparison, and excepting these results, the only pixels which varied by more than 10% (the red limit) were all in LL and LH (9 and 4 pixels, respectively; these are listed in the comments for that test below). For SUR data, the quoted values are the standard deviation of the read noise map. For SRS data, these are the median of the standard deviation map. Comments: The SRSRN results are all within limits. In the SURN tests, SL failed half the time, with a maximum value of 10.4 DN. SH was within limits in all cases, and LL exceeded its limit only once, in the pre-anneal portion of the second middle sequence. LH exceeds its limit in all cases, as usual, with values between 18.4 and 21.9 DN. The SURN stability is also good, with no variation exceeding the yellow limit. The highest is 12%, and that is for one of the LH tests. In the other comparisons, SL showed no latencies and is well behaved. As usual, the LL orders are always visible, but in the comparison involving IRS-003, they were much fainter than usual, with only nine pixels exceeding the yellow limit (instead of the usual thousands). In LH, the orders are not visible, and this is an improvement over recent campaigns. The pixels exceeding red are: SL: (108,27), (107,28), (108,28), (109,28), (107, 29), (108,29), (107,30) LL: (52,4) [2], (16,12) [2], (76,13) [2], (76,64) [2], (13,72) [3], (23,119) [2], (87,99) [1] LH: (120,41) [2], (67,66) [1], (84,114) [3], (15,74) [2] The number of times a pixel failed is given in square brackets.
