Analysis of startup, shutdown and middle sequences, Campaign 17 Abstract: All SRSRN results are within limits. As in previous campaigns, SH and LL are within the SURN limits, but SL fails part of the time (4 out of 10 tests), and LH fails ALL of the time. This is the third campaign in a row where LH has failed everytime. The stability of the SRSRN results continues to be excellent, and the SURN stability is also fine, with no data exceeding the yellow limit. The photoresponse stability is not as good as previous campaigns. Orders are clearly visible in LL again, and LL has four pixels which exceed the red limit at least once: 64,27, 13,72, 87,99, 16,12. The last pixel has been failing in most campaigns. In LH, pixel 15,74 continues to misbehave, as it has in most recent campaigns. For SUR data, the quoted values are the standard deviation of the read noise map. For SRS data, these are the median of the standard deviation map. Comments: All SRSRN data are within limits. Both the SH and LL SURN data are within the limit, although before the first middle anneal, LL reached a new historical high: 14.1 DN. The SL SURN results exceed the noise limit after the anneal in all three mid-campaign sequences and before the shutdown anneal (where it reaches its maximum for this campaign, 10.1 DN). As in the past two campaigns, the LH SURN has exceeded its limit EVERY time. The maximum for this campaign is 19.3 DN, compared to 19.4 DN in Campaign 15 and 19.5 DN in Campaign 16. Changes in read noise between anneals and from startup to shutdown (using the second mid-campaign seqeunce, which we have called IRS-002a): SUR data SRS data 002a-pre/ 003-pre/ 003-pre/ 002a-pre/ 003-pre/ 003-pre/ Module 001-post 002a-post 001-post 001-post 002a-post 001-post SL 0.93 1.12 1.17 0.99 0.99 0.99 SH 0.93 1.00 1.03 0.99 0.99 0.99 LL 1.14 1.17 1.18 1.00 1.02 1.01 LH 0.97 1.08 1.06 0.99 1.01 1.00 Comments: The SRSRN results remain very stable, with only LL reaching a 2% variation. No SURN stability exceeds the 20% yellow limit. The stability of LH is very good, with the highest variation 8%, even though it failed all SURN tests. SH has the best stability SURN (maximum 7%) and LL has the least stable SURN (maximum 18%). This behavoir has changed from the previous campaign. Photoresponse stability (using the middle middle IRS_002a): Module 002a-pre to 001-post 003-pre to 002a-post 003-pre to 001-post yellow red yellow red yellow red SL 2 0 25 0 41 0 SH 0 0 0 0 0 0 LL 2058 3 170 1 1076 2 LH 8 1 3 0 8 1 Comments: SH continues to behave well with no pixels over the yellow or red limit. SL is fine except that the Peak-up module is clearly visible in the comparisons. LL is still problematic, with the orders are clearly visible, causing a huge number of pixels exceeding the yellow limit. Four pixels have exceeded the red limit at least once: 64,27, 13,72, 87,99, 16,12. The last one has failed repeatedly in the past. LH is fine with a few pixels over the yellow limit. One pixel, 15,74, exceeds the red limit, as it has in most recent campaigns (with the exception of Campaigns 14 and 16).
