Analysis of startup, shutdown and middle sequences, Campaign 16 Abstract: All SRSRN results are within limits. SH and LL are within the SURN limits as in previous campaigns. SL fails two out of six SURN tests (as before), and just as happened in Campaign 15, LH failed all SURN tests, with a maximum SURN of 19.5 DN. The stability of the SRSRN results continues to be excellent, and the SURN stability is generally good, except that the SH SURN data exceed the 20% yellow variability limit when comparing the shutdown pre-anneal data to the post-anneal data from the previous two sequences. The remaining SURN stabilities are within the yellow limit, and except for one SL comparison, better than 10%. The photoresponse stability is still good, although not as good as in previous campaigns. SL was affected by latencies in the first half of the campaign, all LL orders continue to be visible, and three previously misbehaving LL pixels continue to do so: 16,12, 76,64, and 23,119. For SUR data, the quoted values are the standard deviation of the read noise map. For SRS data, these are the median of the standard deviation map. Comments: All SRSRN data are within limits. As in previous campaigns, both SH and LL SURN are within limits. The SL SURN limits exceed the noise limit twice out of six test, continuing the trend from previous campaigns. The failures were in the post-anneal data at startup (9.1 DN) and pre-anneal at shutdown (9.9 DN). LH is even more problematic. Just as in Campaign 15, EVERY SURN TEST exceeded the 17.6 DN limit, with the maximum measurement at 19.5 DN. The SH SURN stability exceeded the yellow limit in comparisons of the pre-anneal shutdown data with the post-anneal data from the both previous sequences. The rest of the SURN results are all within the yellow limit. In fact, all are within 10% except one SL comparison (003-pre/002-post, 15% variation). SL is fine except for latent images in the comparison from the first half of the campaign (The postscript image appears in the analysis directory, /home/ioc/campaign_16/IRS_002/checkphot_21_SL.ps) The LL orders are visible as before, with 3000 pixels exceeding the yellow limit in the comparison from the first half of the campaign. Three LL pixels exceed the red limit: 16,12, 76,64, and 23,119. All of these have failed at one time or another in the past. LH is fine except for four pixels over the yellow limit in all comparisons. These pixel vary among the comparions, but the following exceed the yellow limit twice: 55,39, 15,74, and 66,62.
