Analysis of startup, shutdown and middle sequences, Campaign 9 Abstract: All SRSRN results are within limits. The SURN results for both SH and LL are well within the limits. In SL the SURN results exceed the limit twice, and LH is even worse, with only one case below the noise limit (out of six). The maximum excess in LH is 7% over the noise limit. LH has now been exceeding the SURN limit on a fairly regular basis since Campaign 7. The SRSRN results are very stable through the campaign, and while the SURN results are not as good, they remain within the 20% yellow limit. SL varied by 17% during the campaign, while SH varied by 15%. The photostability check revealed good behavior in SL and SH, but both LL and LH had one problem pixel. In LL, the orders were readily apparent in the photoresponse ratio image. For SUR data, the quoted values are the standard deviation of the read noise map. For SRS data, these are the median of the standard deviation map. Comments: All SRSRN data are within limits. In two of the six cases, the SL SURN is over the 8.8 DN limit (startup post-anneal, 9.3 DN, and shutdown post-anneal, 10.3 DN). One of the remaining SL SURN tests is at the limit (startup pre-anneal). Both SH and LL are well within the limits, but the results for LH SURN are poor, as in Campaign 8. Out of six cases, LH exceeds the limit 3 times and meets it twice more. The maximum noise is 18.8 DN (vs. 17.6 DN, a 7% excess) in the pre-anneal shutdown data. LH has one pixel over the red limit throughout the campaign (15,74), one pixel consistently over the yellow limit (99,60), and two more pixels which fail once (70,102 and 0,65). None of these pixels has been a problem before. In LL, pixel 76,64 is consistently over the limit, and one other pixel (56,31) failed once. Pixel 76,64 in LL has now failed the photostability test the last three campaigns. The large number of pixels which exceed the yellow limit are again accompanied by what looks like changes in background emission, since the orders are easily distinguished. And again, channel 0 is not the culprit either.
