Announcements:
-
Estimated course averages are now available via WebAssign. These
will be updated as I add in remaining scores for real-world problems, class
participation, the web project, and lab. Remember that your course
average most likely will not go down with these additional scores and may
go up by as much as a letter grade or two.
-
Final Exam format:
-
50 multiple-choice questions (no real-world problems)
-
Exam questions will be identical or similar to previous exam questions,
questions discussed in class, homework problems, concept questions, and
sample exercises in your textbook. If you have been keeping up with
the class, there should be no "surprises" on this final exam.
-
The exam is designed to require 2 hours, but you will have 3 hours to complete
the exam.
-
The final is divided into 4 sections: Chapters 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-14
-
If you score higher on any of the first 3 sections than you did on the
corresponding mid-term exam, your final exam score on that section will
replace your mid-term score. Conversely, if your mid-term score is
higher than the corresponding section score on the final, your mid-term
score will replace the final score on that section.
