Amanda J. Moffett

About Me

I completed my PhD at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, advised by Sheila Kannappan. I am now a postdoctoral researcher at ICRAR, University of Western Australia, so please see my new permanent website here.

Research Interests

My primary interests are the evolution of galaxy morphology through stellar disk growth and the mass/environment dependence of this phenomenon. I am also a team member on the RESOLVE survey, which provides an excellent laboratory for such studies. Please feel free to visit my publications page for more information.

GALEX Discovery Station

An educational video on this research produced for our GALEX multi-wavelength astronomy interactive discovery station (shown above, installed outside the UNC remote observing center) can be seen here, and a more general video on multi-wavelength astronomy can be seen here.
